We rebuilt every part from the heating element to the bread carriage. These are the six that mattered most.

Even-heat element
A long-wave quartz element warms the bread's entire face — no pale stripes, no scorched edges.

Nine shades, one dial
A weighted brass dial moves through nine settings with the resistance of a good camera lens.

Lift & look
A glide lever lets you raise the carriage mid-cycle to check progress without ending the toast.

Quartz timing
A quartz-based timer keeps the second, fourth and sixth slice as faithful as the first.

Crumb tray, removable
Full-width steel tray that slides clear of the chassis. Rinses, dries, replaces — that's it.
